Scuba Diving

We dive year-round, except during humpback whale season, which will run from July 26th to November 20th for the year 2025.

We offer more than 20 dive sites offering a diversity of underwater landscapes suitable for all levels.

At Mokarran Diving, we practice "zen diving". Here, there is no stress or imposed duration: as long as there is air and wonders to discover, we continue to explore together. Each dive is a special moment, where you join a group adapted to your level, guaranteeing comfort and safety.

Unlike the "bubble factories", we are the only service provider on more than 60 km of coastline. This exclusive setting ensures you a peaceful immersion, with no other boats around.

Whale watching trips

Every year, we eagerly await the arrival of the humpback whales. Starting in June, we scan the ocean surface in the hope of spotting the first "breath" of the season.

Humpback whales are migratory animals that come to Polynesia to mate and give birth to their calves. While the first individuals are generally observed between May and June, the 2025 season will officially begin on July 20.

Observing these graceful giants is an invaluable opportunity. In French Polynesia, we are also allowed to get into the water with them. Of course, this must be done with the greatest respect for the animals, without disturbing them. This is why it is essential to be patient and observant to distinguish fleeing whales from those that are curious.

Successful observation is never forced. Giving animals a choice of interaction and only approaching those that show curiosity towards us is a priority.

As with our dives, we are alone at sea. This unique privilege guarantees ideal conditions for observing and approaching the whales in complete serenity.

Each member of our team has been practicing diving as a supervisor for more than 15 years and even more as a passionate practitioner.

When efficiency rhymes with simplicity! Mokarran Diving may not be the most beautiful center you will visit during your stay in Polynesia, but it is undoubtedly one of the best thought out, designed largely from recycled materials.

It offers all the necessary comfort: toilets, shower, changing area, storage for your belongings, rinsing tank, as well as perfectly maintained and regularly renewed equipment. And above all, an excellent boat, spacious and comfortable, to allow you to fully enjoy your outings at sea.
